Analysis of Impediments to Fair Housing Choice
The State of Delaware, the cities of Wilmington and Dover, and New Castle County, have collaborated to prepare an
Analysis of Impediments to Fair Housing Choice. Referred to as an AI, this document is required of all HUD entitlement
communities that receive federal funds for housing and community development activities. This statewide initiative
includes a list of impediments (or barriers) to fair housing choice for members of the protected classes, as well as
specific plans consisting of strategic actions to be taken to eliminate housing discrimination across Delaware.
