CONTRACTING OPPORTUNITIES
FOR MINORITY- AND WOMEN-OWNED BUSINESSES (MWBs)
To accomplish our mission of providing quality, affordable housing opportunities to low- and moderate-income
Delawareans, DSHA actively seeks vendors from which we can purchase goods and services. We are especially
interested in increasing our business partnership opportunities with minority- and women-owned businesses.
As the bulk of DSHA contracting opportunities are under the small purchase threshold of $25,000, we are
particularly interested in talking to firms located in Delaware's Kent and Sussex Counties, in addition to
other firms located in New Castle County and outside Delaware.
DSHA references/consults the OMWBE Directory of M/WBE's when soliciting for goods and services.
We use the directory to locate vendors when we need to purchase goods and service. Many contractors are
invited to bid several times per year on contracts for goods and services (in excess of $25,000) that support
affordable housing opportunities that we develop in conjunction with the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban
Development. The directory is also used by non-minority contractors to hire subcontractors.
If your business is not already certified with OMWBE, we encourage you to contact and certify with the Office of Minority and Women Buisness Enterprise.
